Dublin, May 2017 – The Damovo Group is pleased to announce the successful completion of ISO 27001 certification for the group Network Operation Centres based in Dublin, Brussels, Düsseldorf and Warsaw. ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems is the international best practice standard for information security and is an endorsement of the company’s commitment to ensuring the quality, strength and relevance of its services offering.

The ISO 27001 certification project was led by Manfred Spiegel and supported by John Anderson and a highly motivated team in the background. Independent ISO consultant Fran Davern (CEO Davern itSM,) also provided valuable assistance throughout the process.

Paul Comerford COO for the Damovo group explains why this certification was so important and why Damovo defined such a wide scoping statement.

Paul Comerford - "The value of the ISO27001 certification for Damovo is very simple. Our customers now know that we take data security very seriously. When we started this ISO journey, we discussed the scoping statement in great detail. We decided that Damovo would apply the scope to all of our network operations centres (NOCs) so that every customer, no matter where in the world they are located, knows that we are working together securely.

It took us over a year to prepare ourselves and a serious investment in people, processes and systems. The teams put a huge amount of effort into achieving the certification. From a managerial perspective, the controls that come with this achievement mean that we are now more transparent than ever with customers.

We believe the breadth of this achievement is a huge differentiator for us in the marketplace – positioning Damovo at the forefront of system integrators delivering secure network solutions and services. We are now able to focus on what is important for our customers, whilst still maintaining our agile approach to customer requirements.
