Thilo Kramer and Kai-Uwe Schmidt take over the management

Thilo Kramer (54) and Kai-Uwe Schmidt (53) have been at the leadership of Damovo Germany since this spring. They are following in the footsteps of Karl-Heinz Sänger, who has retired. With the new management team from within the company, the internationally active ICT service provider is focusing on continuity while paving the way for a new corporate strategic direction. As Country Manager, Kramer is responsible for the national implementation of the corporate strategy. As Commercial Director, Schmidt is responsible for the financial side of the Düsseldorf-based organisation.
Expansion of the service portfolio
Together, the dual leadership is pursuing a clear growth target: the expansion of Damovo’s own service portfolio. ‘The increasing complexity and the ubiquitous shortage of skilled workers mean that many of our customers can no longer implement the technological challenges of their digital transformation projects alone, at the required pace and while taking into account the increasing security requirements,’ says Thilo Kramer. And further: ‘We are using the experience gained from our entire customer base to help them meet these challenges, while at the same time further optimising our service offering for the entire lifecycle.’ Kai-Uwe Schmidt adds: ‘Proactive action is becoming increasingly important. That is why we are increasingly relying on tools that use artificial intelligence to place large amounts of data in the appropriate context, enabling rapid decision-making.’
Focus on cybersecurity, enterprise networks, UC and CC
In recent years, Damovo has already increased its focus on the areas of cybersecurity, enterprise networks, unified communications (UC) and contact centres (CC), and has further expanded its portfolio and expertise in these areas. The company will continue to drive these technological priorities forward with the new management team across the group. ‘This ensures that we can deploy the best specialists to advise and support our customers in their complex IT projects,’ said Kramer. Schmidt added: ‘At the same time, this enables us to achieve synergies within the Damovo Group and efficiently develop our service offering to meet current and future requirements.’
Market expert and change project specialist
Schmidt has been with Damovo for ten years and was previously Chief Financial Officer for the DACH region and Poland. Prior to that, he held various management positions in IT and telecommunications companies. Kramer has been with the company for over 25 years and, prior to his appointment to the top management team, successfully managed various cross-organisational change projects as Vice President Presales.
